Terry Pratchett Is the July Guest on BBC Radio4's Book Club. The Book club is aired on the first Sunday in every month, this month they are looking at The Scold's Bridle by Minette Walters. The programme will be transmitted at 4pm on Sunday 4th July and repeated 4pm Thursday 8th July. This should be archived on the BBC's audio on demand radio player.

Mickey Mouse in Narnia?

We undersatand that Disney is going to be working with Walden Media on a film translation of The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe . Disney will be "assisting" with the production costs and will also have the distribution contract. If this is a success then they also have the rights to distribute the other 6 books in the Narnia. Andrew Adamson, the director of Shrek is currently lined up to direct this film which is scheduled for a release at Christmas in 2005. This is going to be filmed on location in New Zealand.

JK Rowling talks about World Book Day

JK Rowling spoke on CBBC's Newsround about World Book Day. She has been having a special webchat today. This is the second year the organisers have had a webchat. She didn't say what book 6 would be called or where it would be out. A Newsround asked her if she had taken polyjuice potion who would she be. JK Said it was a very intimate way of talking to a lot of people at onece. Oh and if you wondered she would be Tony Blair for an hour!
